We have been invited to the Everyman Theatre on Thursday 11th June at 2.30pm to watch a production of a 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. This will be performed by a variety of children from different schools who have taken part in a workshop to create scenes from the play.
This will be a free event and should be very exciting and inspirational for our children.
If you and your child would like to join us to walk to the Everyman at 2pm, please sign the form, which is at reception with Alice.
We will leave school at 2pm and walk straight to the theatre, where the show will last around an hour.
If you have any questions regarding this, please speak to Miss Johnston.
We can't believe we are in June already!

Our Headteacher, Greg Parker, has graced the pages of this term's Educate Magazine with a look at a typical Week in the Life of LIPA Primary School.
You can read the article here - http://www.educatemagazine.com/greg-parker-headteacher-lipa-primary-school/ - or pick up a free copy from school or at your local supermarket.
Just a reminder that the school photographer will be here tomorrow (Friday 8th May).
They will arrive early and will be taking the children's pictures during the day.

The LIPA Primary Team
International Dance Day was a huge success. The children really enjoyed it and were exhausted by home time, some even fell asleep in the hall at the end of the day!
We loved having Donna and Helene over from 'big' LIPA and the children showed off their dancing and singing skills to them.
I have attached lots of pictures from International Dance Day to our Reception class pages and I hope you enjoy looking at them.
The children learnt lots of styles of dance including Chinese, Bollywood, Street, Flamenco, Ribbon and even party dances!! They also took part in 'making marks to music' which everybody enjoyed.
Thank you for your support with the children's outfits on the day, they really looked the part.

We had Paul Bradshaw from Liverpool Local Authority visit the school in April to talk to the children and parents about E-Safety.
Tablets, computers and such like provide us with a range of exciting opportunities to develop children's learning however Paul's input was excellent in highlighting the dangers of the internet and how we can all ensure that children develop their skills to use it safely.
Paul's excellent Powerpoint resource and the NSPCC's booklet 'Helping to Keep your Child Safe Online booklet' can be found in the E-Safety section of our website.
Our Reception pupils were excited to see the unveiling of four very special pieces of artwork on Thursday 19 March.
Local artist Allen Heron, whose granddaughter Annie attends the school, helped Head Teacher Greg Parker select the winning designs by Violet, Arvo, Niamh and Finola from a series of work produced by the children on the theme of 'Our City'. Allen was then commissioned to recreate the winning pictures on a large scale, with the finished canvases being hung in the school library.
Allen, who has previously completed work for Mayor Anderson and several community-focused projects, said "You cannot believe the amount of detail that was in these pictures - recreating them was one of the hardest things I've ever done!"
Head Teacher Greg Parker said "We are delighted to unveil Allen's versions of our children's artwork, which have really brightened up the school. We are now looking forward to working with him on our next project, when he will help the children explore themes around culture and the world around us through artwork to decorate our underground play area."
Well done to all the children who took part in our Easter assemblies last week.
The alternative version of the children's book 'We're Going On a Bear Hunt' went down really well.
