Learning through the creative and performing arts
The History curriculum (Reception - Year 11) at LIPA School encourages pupils to engage critically with the past, fostering a deep understanding of historical events, figure, and movements that have shaped the world today. Pupils develop analytical and research skills as they explore different periods, cultures and perspectives, learning to evaluate and form reasoned judgements. Through the study of history, we aim to help pupils understand societal changes, conflicts and the ongoing impact of historical decisions on contemporary issues, empowering them to become informed, reflective and active citizens.
