Learning through the creative and performing arts
PE and Sport Premium is concerned with the provision of funding by the Government for improving the quality of sport and PE for all children. Through this, we aim to ensure that all children benefit from the funding regardless of their sporting ability.
Our approach is based on the desire to ensure all children benefit from the funding to improve performance and develop a lifelong interest in PE and sport.
With that regard, our Sport Premium Plan, see below, identifies a range of strategies aimed at investing in the sporting development of our children.
Y6 Swimming Competency
We are required to publish data on the proportion of our Year 6 cohort who are meeting the national curriculum requirement to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres, use a range of strokes effectively and perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations.
