Thank you so much to everybody who supported us with our Refugee Week work and who joined us at the coffee morning, it was great to see so many of you and being joined by EMTAS who shared all about our work towards becoming a school of sanctuary.
We also received this 'thank you' from St Barnabas Church regarding our sock collection:
Dear Miss Logan
On behalf of St Barnabas Mothers’ Union Branch I would like to express our grateful thanks to all the parents, staff and children at LIPA Primary school for their generous donation of socks as part of Refugee Week 2018.
My joint Branch Leader reported back to me from the Mothers’ Union Council meeting yesterday that the amount of socks collected throughout Chester Diocese for refugees and the homeless was amazing. During the meeting part of the donations were collected ready to be taken to the Syrian Refugee Centre.
With kind regards and many thanks
Thelma Williams
