Learning through the creative and performing arts
We’re back in school and looking forward to another busy half term!
Recently, we have enjoyed a visit from Zoolab, as part of our ‘We Are Scientists’ project – the children met a whole range of different animals and discuss their habitats and what they eat. The favourite animal seemed to be the snake!
We’ve also celebrated National Number Day, with each class learning a number song to perform during assembly. All the children came in their own number-themed clothes, and enjoyed a full day of maths activities in school while also raising money for NSPCC.
Our big celebration last half term, of course, was Chinese New Year, with a visit from Edge Hill University’s Confucius Institute, Chinese arts and crafts (thanks to LIPA Friends), a special Chinese New Year lunch, and a visit to Liverpool’s Chinese Arch – 50 feet tall and the largest outside China!
